Today we celebrated Mrs. Larvey as she prepares for retirement. Every student gave her a flower, there was a beautiful video, and we finished by indulging in Mrs. Larvey's favorite snack of ice cream. There were lots of hugs and tears. As we begin to prepare for our Olympic Themed Field Day in two weeks, countries and teams were announced this morning!
Here are some pictures from the French PE torch practice class yesterday. Students are preparing for an end of year olympic style celebration on field day!
Today we celebrated the conclusion of the Jump Rope Unit with a ninja ceremony for all students who earned one of the ninja level belts (for the number of jumps they were able to reach leveled based on grade). We had many students reach black belts in their grade level and some even reach black belts in the next grade levels higher. One student even made it to 1,000 jumps which was a level 9 black belt for grade 6. All K-6 students and some PK students will have bracelets by belt level the reached and some have their black belt certificate that they will be bringing home today!
Earlier this week, the North Hero School held its annual Scripps Spelling Bee. Congratulations to our 2024 School Champion!

K-2 students were tasked with designing a team project and work together to build their project!
Grade 3/4 celebrated 100 days today by holding a pose for 100 seconds, writing 100 words on the board, doing a 100th day brain break, and sharing a science activity with K,1,2.
Tomorrow is the 100th day of school - look what Chef Leslie has made for everyone to celebrate!
