WELCOME LETTER

Welcome to fifth and sixth grade! My name is Mr. Hammond and it is my first year at North Hero! I am very excited to see what you all accomplish this school year.

I was born and raised in Waitsfield, Vermont. I took a gap year after high school as an Americorps member in Boston, serving as a 4th grade teaching assistant. I then received my Bachelors Degree at Champlain College, with student teaching experience at Williston Central School. I graduated in May of 2024, so you all will be my first class EVER! I have wanted to teach since I was your age, and will be following in the footsteps of both my father and uncle, who also both had their first teaching jobs in this same district!

I currently live in Burlington, Vermont. In my free time, I love to play basketball, read, build LEGO, and spend time with my wonderful family!

As a first year teacher, I am growing and learning along side you. This year will be full of new experiences and lessons, but I am confident if both my and your abilities to master them! I can't wait to adventure together!
